Gardenswartz Family

I'm taking advantage of the beautiful Fall weather this weekend, and so are my clients.
On Friday, I met the Gardenswartz family at the Nature Center for some fun Autumn shots.
I had a great time photographing this family,
and enjoying the perfect weather.

The Gardenswartz family were real troopers, letting me lead them all over the park and into the Bosque. We had a lot of fun, even with a small injury. You won't be able to tell from her beautiful smile, but Kathleen (the mom) suffered a bee sting during our shoot!

Fourtunately she was able to smile through the pain and allow me to get these great shots.
Thanks Kathleen for being such a strong woman! And thanks to Seth, Eve, and Jonah too. It was wonderful to spend time with you all.

Julia, Jack, and Matthew

Last Sunday I spent some time with my good friend Julia and her 2 amazing sons. I have had the priviledge of photographing them many times, and they always make me smile.

As a mom of two rambunctious boys myself, I have learned to let them play, let them be themselves, and watch out for the things they will throw at you!!
Julia, thanks again for having me capture your family's memories for you. You are an awesome mom and a great friend too!!

Behind the Site

Many of you have been asking me who designed my new website. His name is Anthony Garcia and his company is called Juxtapose Media, which is located here in Albuquerque.

I met Anthony and I saw some of the websites he had designed. I can tell you that it didn't take me long to decide that I wanted to be his client.

And, after I teased Anthony about his Facebook images, he decided that he wanted to be my client as well!

I spent a chilly but gorgeous afternoon this week with Anthony and his daughter Kayla. We had a great time and as you can see Anthony is not exactly a "geeky website guy"!

Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day.

Thanks Anthony for my beautiful new website!!

Caroline and Michael's Wedding

What an amazing few days this has been! This past week I photographed the wedding of Caroline and Michael Gresham. It was an awesome day spent at St. Thomas Aquinas and Anderson Valley Vineyards. Caroline and Michael are 2 people truly meant for each other.

Here is their story:

Caroline was a freshman at the University of Texas at Austin and Michael, a senior, was working at the front desk in her dorm. The day they met, Michael was playing a "Third Day" CD, Caroline's favorite band, as she was walking by. Desiring to have a conversation with the mystery "Third Day" listener, she approached: "Excuse me, is that a Third Day CD?" Michael began to panic and thought maybe he was about to be fired for listening to Christian music on a secular college campus. Thankfully this wasn't the case. A 45- minute conversation and the interest in one another ensued. After dating for one year at UT, Michael graduated and enlisted in the US Army. The relationship continued long distance while Michael was stationed in Savannah, Georgia and deployed to Iraq. After three years of having a long distance relationship, Michael was assigned to Albuquerque, New Mexico where Caroline was also able to enter Graduate school. AT LAST, they were together again! After almost two years of being reacquainted with one another they decided they were ready to join their lives together!

And here are a few shots taken from their wedding day.Congratulations Caroline and Michael! I wish you both all the happiness in the world. -Angela

Riley Family Sitting

My good friend Jessica stopped by today so that we could get a few shots of her and her adorable kids. You may recognize this family from my website. I have taken many photos of them over the years, and it has been so fun to see how the kids are growing and changing.

I have to give credit to Jessica's son Colin for the posing in this photo. As I was setting up, Colin started to climb this tree. He was so cute and happy up there that we decided to leave him there and arrange Jessica and KiKi around him. I always think that the best shots of kids are when I let them play and be themselves. Thanks Colin!

Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend after I finished shooting, we headed out to McCall's Pumpkin Patch in Moriarty, NM. It was a windy day, but we all had a great time. Here are a couple of shots from our day.
