Kimberly Haltom's Birthday Party

I've been spending a lot of time lately just as I like it--behind the camera and not in front of the computer!!

Although I have fallen behind a little in my blog updates, I did want to include some of the best highlights over the past few weeks...

On April 5, Kimberly Haltom celebrated her 40th Birthday in a most amazing way and I had the priviledge of shooting it for her.

Kimberly had a "White" Party and it was truly a spectacular event. Robert and his crew at Distracted by Decor turned the top of the Sunrise Bank building into a sparkly, white, crystal wonderland. Kimberly and all of her guests had a fantastic time celebrating into the night. Here are a few shots from the evening.

ps-I love my job--This was so much fun!!!!

Samuel Albert's Bar Mitzvah

I had the honor recently of shooting the Bar Mitzvah of Samuel Albert. Samuel is an amazing guy and I had a wonderful time capturing images of this memorable day.
The ceremony took place at Temple Albert the morning of January 24. Later that evening, Samuel and many friends and family members headed over to the JCC for a party that will not soon be forgotten!
Mazel Tov Samuel, and thanks for having me be a part of your special day!!

Christie and Justin

Last Sunday I spent a beautiful afternoon with Christie Lewis and Justin Abate. We wandered around all of the nooks and crannies of Old Town for their Engagement Session.

You can't help but want to shoot in different places every time you go to Old Town! There are so many interesting things there and it was a perfect setting for these two.

Christie and Justin will be married May 24, 2009. They currently live in St. Louis, but are coming back here for the big day. I can't wait to share it with them!!

Here are some shots from our session...

Addy and her baby sister

My friend Sue Brown called me and asked me to come by her house to photograph her grandaughter Addy and her new baby sister.
We set up a small "studio" inside Sue's home so that we could photograph the kids in their own enviroment, something I really love to do.
It was a fun afternoon and here are some favorites from the session...

Margaux Felty

It's a lot of fun for me to photograph little girls, since in my personal life I'm surrounded by all boys! Here are a few shots from a recent session with Margaux Felty. Margaux is a beautiful and active two year old. I had a great time with her at the Botanical Gardens and we were able to get some shots that I hope her family will treasure for many years to come.
A few favorites to share with you...

Stewart Family

The great weather has been awesome this past week and the sunsets spectacular! These shots were taken on a perfect New Mexico evening. So hard to believe it is late November and my clients and I are still comfortable shooting in the foothills!

These shots are from my recent session with Angela, Jim, Jason and Adam Stewart. We shot for about an hour when the light was at its best. As we were walking back to our cars, I could not help but ask this family to pose for me one more time as the skies were bright, streaky pink. The boys were getting cold, but they hung in there and kept close to their Mom and Dad!

The last shot in this session was taken of me as I was packing my gear using the headlights of a nearby car. The photographer was Adam Stewart who was quite interested in my camera. Maybe I have found a future assistant!

Rori McBride

I love Senior Portrait sessions! It marks such a special time in life and I always have fun doing them.

Rori McBride is a senior at The Bosque School. She will be attending college next year and pursuing her studies in broadcast journalism. I think she will do well- the camera loves her!

Rori and I had a great time in the mountains and we even had her parents step in for a few shots at the end.

Here are some of my favorite shots of the day...
